Acrylic nails are made from a liquid and powder mixture that hardens when applied to the nail, while gel nails are created using a gel formula that is cured under UV or LED light.

A basic manicure should take about 30 minutes, a basic builder gel and acrylic can take up to 1.5 hours.

Here are some tips for keeping your nails in beautiful condition.

Keep your nails dry: Avoid prolonged contact with water for the first 24 hours to allow the product to fully set.
Avoid heat exposure: Steer clear of hot water, saunas, or sunbeds for 24 hours after your appointment.
Wear gloves: Protect your nails when washing up, cleaning, or gardening to prevent damage.
Moisturise regularly: Use a high-quality hand and foot cream daily to keep your skin soft and hydrated.
Use cuticle oil: Apply cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished and prevent dryness or peeling.
Be gentle with your nails: Avoid using them as tools to open cans, remove stickers, or perform similar tasks.
